Spring Compost Sale

The aged compost at the Sam Houston Equestrian Center is a slow-release fertilizer made from pine shavings and horse manure that has been composted for over five years. Because we have nearly 60 horses, our huge compost pile generates the heat necessary to kill harmful bacteria and weed seeds and break down the manure into beneficial nutrients for flowers and vegetables. Our compost is perfect for many applications. It can be mixed with existing soils in gardens, or added to potting material for container gardens. It fertilizes lawns, vegetable gardens, flower beds, potted plants indoors and out. No smell and no trash.

Our compost can be purchased in a number of ways. We deliver four cubic yards to your location within a 25 mile radius for $140.00. We have special pricing for pick-ups during our weekend loading windows from 11 AM to 2 PM on both Saturdays and Sundays. For other times, call for an appointment. For small quantities, we sell 45-50 lb bags for $5.00. A great way to try out our compost!
